Springboro OfficeSpringboro Area Historical Society Announces the 21st Annual Celebration of Christmas In Historic Springboro -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Peace On Earth" November 16th -18th, 2007 Friday, 6:30 pm - 10 pm Saturday, 10 am - 9 pm Sunday, 12 Noon - 5 pm. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Opening ceremonies, caroling & tree lighting: 6:30 pm Friday at 245 S Main St, beside Magnolia's On Main (formerly the Brass Pig) • During our free, three-day festival, Old Main Street is closed to auto traffic and open to festival-goers who can listen to songs of the season everywhere, including in our two entertainment stages. Horse-drawn trolleys wind through the festival and guests can pause to visit selected crafters in our four craft tents. (The Fall weather could be crisp, but all our tents are heated.) • Free Parking! - Jonathan Wright, Clearcreek Elementary, Clearcreek Baptist Church, & etc • You will see Springboro's historic downtown decked out for Christmas. Shops and homes will be glowing with holiday decorations and music fills the air. • Bring a gift of food, household items, toiletries or a toy for the area food banks! Bins will be located at the north and south ends of the festival. Remember the truly needy among us. • Noon, Saturday, features a Grand Parade, with Santa & Mrs. Claus presenting the Grand Marshall. Main at East Market St): 9:30 am: Petite Miss Springboro - final competition and selection. 3 pm: Junior Miss Springboro - final competition and selection. 5:30 pm Senior Miss Springboro - final competion and selection. Early pioneers to this area came down the Ohio River to Cincinnati and up the Little & Great Miami Rivers to find fertile land and an abundance of clear, free-flowing springs in Springboro. The Springboro area quickly became home to a predominant Quaker community, whose values persist.
